ASME Curriculum Innovation Award
Professors Cagan and Weingart were recently awarded the Curriculum Innovation Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for the Integrated Product Development course. This award recognizes and encourages innovation in Mechanical Engineering Education and encourages the dissemination of exemplary curricular innovations throughout the engineering education community.

Ford Motor Company patents IPD projects
Ford Motor Company sponsored the IPD class for two years, once focused on after market products for the F-150 truck bed, and once for interior lifestyle features of the Ford Escape. Of the 12 projects, Ford has submitted 5 patent applications (2 already issued).
