The one-year curriculum will require 96 units
of course work with a minimum overall QPA of 3.0. 60 units must
be at the graduate level. The 96 units are divided evenly over two
semesters as:

Entrepreneurship - 12 units (or alternative marketing
core)

Design students who have taken an equivalent
course to a requirement may substitute an engineering course (such
as 24-443,
Design for Manufacturing) or another engineering course.
Electives The student must complete at least 4 additional
courses (totaling at least 48 units). These courses must be relevant
to the product development process. Such courses may be found, for
example, in Engineering, Design, GSIA, Psychology, Anthropology,
and Statistics. All courses must be approved by the advisor.
